Death-toll due to alcohol-abuses is very high in Georgia. A workshop on Oct.16th and 17th in Tbilisi focuses on the question whether the LP TaV developed and in use since more than 10 years in Zürich could help to reduce the problem.
The workshop under the auspices of Georgia Global Connections is jointly organized by VEBO, the University of Georgia (Prof. Dr. Irma Barbakadze) in Tbilisi and the Georgian Partnership for Road Safety an organization with close links to the Georgian Ministry of the Interior.  It aims at checking whether such Learning programs – adapted to Georgian needs and conditions - could help to reduce the death-toll. In Zurich this program has proved its value in the last 10 years.
VEBO and its specialists from Justizvollzug Kanton Zurich will sketch the program, show the ingredients and the prerequisites for a successful implementation. They will discuss with Georgian specialists with the aim 1. to explain to their Georgian colleagues, the contents
