Association for the Development of the Probation Services in Eastern Europe

The Association for the Development of the Probation Services in Eastern Europe (VEBO) was founded 15 years ago by members of the Probation Assistance office of the Canton of Zürich. They made it their goal to contribute their professional knowledge and experience to the further development of penitentiary systems in Eastern Europe. Since the year 2000 VEBO has supported state as well as private institutions by helping them raise financial means as well.

So far, VEBO has started projects in the Czech Republic, in Romania, in Georgia an in Greece but is interested in work in other Eastern European countries as well.
