Project debt counseling and reduction

Debt is a great obstacle for the reintegration of offenders, in the Czech Republic as much as anywhere else. Following the model applied in Zürich, a mutually acceptable agreement between debtors and creditors is sought.

The technical education of social workers and their support through IT brought some results. But it is becoming evident that old habits, such as the blatant preference of the creditors' interests in foreclosure procedures, are a great obstacle for success.

The Czech ministries of Justice and Labour and Social Affairs have created a working group called "Alliance Dlouhy" that is assigned with the search for solutions to the Czech Republic's increasing problems with debt. VEVO is represented in this working group.
