VEBO: Guest at the Sechseläuten in Zürich

The Sechseläuten is the annual celebration of the city's century-old guilds. Every year, the organizing committee invites a guest canton. The honor was Zürich's in 2015. The canton chose "Mitenand" ("together") as its motto to present its work in support of communities inside and outside of Switzerland, for instance with the mountain regions of the country as well as Eastern Europe.
The canton invited four organizations receiving Lottery Fund finance to introduce their work to the public, including VEBO.
To VEBO this was a chance to show its engagement in development in Eastern Europe. To this end we had a documentary made in Romania about the Workshops for Community Service, and got the chance to describe our new project in the Czech Republic supporting the long-term unemployed who have committed offences.
VEBO thanks the Government Council of the Canton of Zürich for the invitation and the opportunity to introduce its work to the broader public.
